In recent years, people have realized the importance of proper diet and exercise and recent surveys show that over the past 20 years, people eat better and train more frequently, resulting in people living longer weather. But people still don’t understand that their mental well-being is just as important as their physical health.
Nowadays, most people average 4-6 hours of exercise every day and make sure that everything they put in their mouth is not full of sugar or preservatives, but they do not pay attention to their health no vacation, not even occasional. Long weekends, 60 hours a week, take work home and even work weekends. All this with the hope of one day getting that big promotion.
What good will it do you when your brain becomes overloaded and you have a nervous breakdown at the office?
Over time, your physical health will suffer no matter how well you eat and how often you exercise. You will come across high blood pressure, stress, and tension, increasing your chances of having a stroke or heart attack.
In hopes of helping you avoid this, I provide you with the things I do to keep my sanity in tip-top shape.
What I like the most to refocus is taking a long ride on my Harley. Nothing refocuses the world like being free like the wind, there are no better forms of therapy as far as I’m concerned.
Another great way to relieve stress in your life and help brighten your mental health is a trip to the casino. Most people go to the casino and hope to come home winning, I don’t. I’m going to have fun.
I like the skill required in
Sometimes I like to sit at a poker, blackjack or roulette table and make small bets. This may not be as exciting as risking large sums of money, but in the end I play longer and probably win more often. The best part is that because I don’t expect to win, I don’t get disappointed when I don’t win, and on those occasions when I win, in addition to coming home with more money, I have dinner with a big smile on my face because the night was much better.
Another reason I love casinos is how far they are from where I live, so I can get my bike out in the morning and take a nice 3 hour trip to Atlantic City, then at the end of the day I can enjoy another 3 hours of mine. Harley, and if the weather is really bad I can either take my truck or just stay home and log into one of the many online casinos to choose from.
I also enjoy watching an hour or two of TV every night, a few light sitcoms are a great way to lighten my mind and laughing out loud for 30 seconds every day is a great way to relieve stress.
Video games are also great for relieving stress, if you are mad at your boss what better way to get it out of you than by boxing, imagine yourself defeating your boss and hoping you don’t lose.
I hope you will try some of these methods or come up with some of your own to help you reduce the stress in your life and keep your mental health as good as the rest of you.
